Brainpower song in 'Thunderstruck' movie

One of Brainpower's new songs is in the new movie 'Thunderstruck'

Film and television music consultant Art Ford of Ford Music Services, based in Los Angeles says:'This is the first placement I've made for Brainpower and I'm looking forward to pitching more of his music and working together more in the future'

Ford has been involved in creating soundtracks for movies such as 'The Bodyguard', 'The Matrix' & 'Men In Black' and also represents Aerosmith, James Brown, Frank Sinatra and Snoop Dogg to name but a few..

The Warner Brothers Pictures movie 'Thunderstruck' will be released in the US August 24th and stars Kevin Durant who swaps talents with a teenage fan in the movie. James Belushi stars in the movie as well and it also features cameos by Shaquille O'Neal, Charles Barkley and others.

The unreleased song is called 'Victory' and is written & performed by Brainpower and produced by TJ & Brainpower

New Brainpower single featuring Shabazz the Disciple!

Brainpower drops a new single 'Bleedin' Organz'. The song features underground Rap Legend Shabazz The Disciple and is recorded at Audiology Studio's in New York, where the MC's met up for an intense session.

The video is a funky treat with a backstory. Being an avid film fan, Brainpower met US Movie Director Jack M. Sell while on tour. Mr. Sell turned out to be a fan of Brainpower's music and allowed the rapper to create a new, music video edit of his early 80's cult film 'The Psychotronic Man' to accompany the powerful, dark track.

Brainpower and Wyclef Jean!

Brainpower, TLM & Orange Grove will perform at The 31st Heineken Regatta, and Wyclef Jean will headline ! Other artists that have performed on the festival before are Damian Marley, Black Eyed Peas, Jimmy Cliff, Shaggy, Stephen Marley and Intwine.

Brainpower Caribbean Shows 2011

Sunday March 6th 2011, Brainpower & TLM will perform at the 31st Heineken Regatta at Kim Sha Beach on St.Maarten. They will also do a live collabo with their friends Orange Grove!

Saturday March 12th Brainpower & TLM will rock the house at Mambo Beach, Curacao. TLM will spin only the greatest music - old classics and brand new hits- and Brainpower will be the MC hosting and dropping some of his biggest tunes during TLM's set! Don't miss out!

Brainpower begins to rhyme at a young age. After ten years of honing his craft as a furious battle MC, he wins the critically acclaimed 'Grand Prize Of Holland', a contest for upcoming acts in Amsterdam, 1998. Together with his long time friend and stage partner, dj TLM he wins awards in all but one category (that of Best singer): Best MC, Best DJ (TLM), People's Choice Award and the Main Prize.

Dropping seven albums throughout the following ten years (having sold over 200,000 records in such a small market - the most out of any bi-lingual solo MC in Holland ever) Brainpower is considered a class act and a rare phenomenon, completely in a league of his own. Because of his diverse quality music and dedication creating it he has become a top household name in music in Holland, Belgium and the Dutch Caribbean for years.

Being a kid from 'The Golden Age' of Hip Hop, the 80s, his repertoire always captures universal emotions, never losing the essence of - and his passion for - Hip Hop culture, as well as his intense love for music in general.

After having had #1 songs in both Holland and Belgium, three gold & three platinum records, numerous nominations and winning at 12 (!) important awards (including MTV Europe Award for Best Dutch Act) Brainpower was given the State Lifetime Achievement Award in Amsterdam, december 2008, for his ongoing impact on the Benelux Music scene, and the Hip Hop scene specifically.

In 2009 he releases a Greatest Hits Box Set and embarks on a 36 date tour.

In 2010 Brainpower releases a successful EP, and performs in Jamaica (with reggae legend Yellowman) and in the USA (at The Viper Room, LA).

Early 2011, after 14 years of putting out records, Brainpower says: 'To me it feels like I'm just scratching the surface of my creativity. I feel blessed, humbled, and my experience only makes me more motivated to continue doing what I do…'

February 2011, he performs in Holland, in March in St. Maarten (alongside Wyclef Jean) and Curacao. Brainpower currently wraps up recording his international debut album. Stay tuned….
